Weak/ Overactive Bladder (OAB)
Over-Active Bladder Syndrome (OAB) is a common condition in Men & Women over the age of 40 years, affecting over 22 million people in Europe. The exact cause is unknown but can be due to medical conditions, and/or poor diet & health. The bladder is a bag of muscles which contract allowing the urine to pass through the urethra. In OAB it contracts too early, i.e. before it is full, releasing urine without your control. Many people also say that the site of a toilet or hearing water running can also trigger it off.
At the Shifa Active Health Clinic we assess the muscles causing the overactive bladder and try to treat it with various theray modalities. If this is an issue that ou are facing do give us a call. Contact the clinic for an appointment.
