With over 30 years clinical experience,Shamim Akhtar Malik PhD, is one of the Top qualified Registered Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist , Homeopath, Hijama Cupping Therapist & Natural Alternative & Complementary Medicine Practitioner in the UK. He specialises in Musculo-skeletal health issues as well as general health. He is one of the 150 specialists in Europe for Modern Acupuncture known as  FSN "Magic Needle"  or Floating needle Acupuncture.

He graduated from the University of Westminster with a Batchelors Health Sciences Degree (B.Sc) in Classical Homeopathy & Acupuncture in 2000, and a Masters Degree from the faculty of Homeopathy Malaysia, 2003. He completed his Masters in Acupuncture (M.Ac) from the Research Institue for Medical Acupuncture (RIMAc) Malaysia in 2005, and further submitted a research Doctorate for his PhD in Acupuncture at the Open International University for Complementary Medicine (OIUCM), Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2006 entitled " Pain & Why do Doctors Refer Patients for  Alternative,Complementary Medicine & Why they Don't ". He also did post-graduate studies in Chinese Acupuncture for pain-relief at the China Beijing Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing, in 2007/2008.

Consequently, Shamim continued his special interests, professional development (CPD) & training in other forms of Natural Healing & Healthcare, and was also able to earn his Advanced Diploma in Sports / Manual Therapy from the University of Bedfordshire, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Hijama Cupping Therapy for Healthcare Professionals (in 2009/2010. awarded to him by the British Cupping Society(BCS).

 

He has been professionally & personally trained in FSN Floating Acupuncture therapy by Dr Jidong Wu, who is the number one trainer of FSN Acupuncture in Europe, (and also the trainer & teacher of Dr FU Zhonghua, the inventor of FSN Acupuncture in China.)
